2018 Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC)
The GCTC program is a collaborative platform for the development of smart cities and communities. The 2018 GCTC, co-hosted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate, will be the Smart and Secure Cities and Communities Challenge (SC3), encouraging teams to focus on cybersecurity and privacy as the first order concern, as well as goals such as replicability, scalability and sustainability. The GCTC-SC3 kickoff conference will bring together hundreds of municipal governments and technology innovators around the world with the goal of establishing teams to address shared smart cities issues.
How to Participate
- If you have an existing partnership and/or project with a municipal government, you can establish a team (also called an “Action Cluster”) before going to the kickoff conference. For instructions on making a proposal, please visit this website: https://pages.nist.gov/GCTC/about/participation-guide/
- If you do not yet have a project, you can simply register and attend the kickoff conference, where you can join the matchmaking process for the opportunity to support a project in need of privacy expertise.
